How to Wear Shimmer Makeup ?

Select just a couple of spots to highlight, then make your shimmery points come alive with sparkle. The best shimmer application produces a sheer glow that seems to illuminate your face naturally.

 

*Apply your regular makeup — foundation, blush, eye makeup and lipstick — and save the shimmer for last.

 

*Choose one or two spots on your face to highlight with shimmer. Find the most flattering places on your face, such as the apples of your cheeks, the highest point of your cheekbones, the inside or outside corners of your eyes, the midpoint of your eyelid just above your eyelashes or just above your upper lip, in the valley between your nose and mouth.

 

 

*Load the large makeup brush with a light dusting of shimmer powder and tap the brush once to remove any excess.

 

 

 

*Brush the shimmer makeup over your cheeks with the large brush. Apply it evenly to both cheeks and blend it well with the same brush. We want to illuminate, not inundate.

 

 

*Load the small brush with a small dab of shimmer powder and tap the brush one or twice to remove excess powder.

 

 

 

*Touch the bristles of the brush to your eyelids or your upper lip to add a hint of shimmer. Blend the shimmer powder in with the brush.

 

 

*Use the large brush to apply a hint of sexy shimmer to your collarbones when you wear a strapless dress.
