PETER COPPING brought the second full day of Paris Fashion Week to a close this evening with a frothy and French collection for Nina Ricci - a continuation of what he has been doing for the house since his appointment as artistic director in April of last year.A lovely colour palette set the scene – in nude and white, pink, light peach, streaks of fading turquoise, lemon, lilac and coral – and played out across beautiful leather pieces and lace skirts, dresses and blouses that were a riff on lingerie looks.Very pretty, these were womanly creations with a girly emphasis – floral-dotted tunic vests worn with short little equally embellished skirts, a beaded and ruffled froufrou jacket worn with a tight skirt to show off curves. Amongst the pretty and the lightness came some navy check tweed too – in the shape of a blouson jacket, an elegant coat and a skirt suit, which worked well.
